Peach & Bowser – Now adopted

Bowser is a lovely boy but typically stubborn and set in his ways. He loves the children in his foster home and is completely bonded to Peach and gets anxious of she isn’t around.

He still gets a bit over excited when he knows he is going for a walk and will try and grab his lead, but he loves going out.

Bowser will only walk with Peach; he won’t walk on his own and whilst he is fine with small dogs, he is wary of larger dogs and will bark if they approach.

Peach is a loving playful girl who loves attention from the children in foster. She enjoys her walks, but she will also have a grumble and bark at larger dogs, the same as Bowser.

She understands and obeys commands – generally – and will wait for food etc.

Dogs name:  Bowser and Peach

Age:  Bowser 3 years 5 months old & Peach is 3 years 2 months

Can live with children:  Yes aged 5 years and over

Can live with dogs:  No

Can live with cats: Untested

Current location: Basildon, Essex

Things to be aware of:

Bowser has Dry Eye and this will need medication for the rest of his life. He is currently on Optimmune  & Beaphar which can be purchased via a prescription from the vet and ordered online.

If Bowser gets anxious he will toilet in the house and he has been known to toilet overnight so his foster family use puppy pads on the floor for him….. but this is rare.

Bowser can be food possessive so the pair are fed separately, and he can be possessive over toys as well.

Peach will need to use a slow feeder as she is a very fast eater

The ideal home:

This gorgeous pair really need to be in a home where there are people about for most of the day as Bowser needs a routine set to go out to toilet.

They are both fabulous with the children in foster, but Bowser is excitable and will jump up at anyone, including children to greet them when he first meets them

Other comments:

Bowser is a typically stubborn Bulldog who is full of character and who knows what to do but chooses when to do it…! And Peach is laid back and loves nothing more than strokes and cuddles.

This pair are very bonded and so they must remain together.

Peach has recovered well from her spay and tail removal and Boswer is fully recovered from his BOAS, hernia repair, and neuter and we will consider homes up to 4 hours from their current location in Basildon, Essex.

The adoption donation fee for Bowser and Peach is £900 and will need to be paid in full prior to them going home which will also be subject to a home check.
