Rhonda – Now Adopted

Rhonda is described by her foster mum as a real lady. She is so gentle and loving but, don’t let her fool you! She also has a cheeky, playful side that comes out the more she gets to know you! She is a complete sweetheart and, once a relationship has been built, she will be your friend for life.

Rhonda is walked on a harness and lead. She is not the greatest fan of putting her harness on and can look a little scared. She will often lay down and roll onto her back while your putting it on.

Rhonda walks well on the lead and doesn’t pull at all. She is quite happy walking in the company of other dogs without any issues. If Rhonda meets another dog in public she is not reactive.

Rhonda has very good recall and comes back no problems.

Rhonda knows basic commands and can sit and shake a paw for a treat. She is very food orientated.

Rhonda loves playing with toys and chewing antlers. She shows no possessiveness.

Rhonda will allow you to clean and groom her without any issues

Rhonda loves her food and does a wonderful excited dance!

Things to be aware of:

Rhonda is quite nervous in nature and takes time to form relationships. She will need time in her new forever home to settle and relax.

Rhonda is scared of noises such as traffic, curtains, raised voices, noisy toys and the list goes on. Her new family will need to be aware and be prepared to work on this.

Rhonda is not a fan of rough play as she is too much of a lady. She’s happier playing gently or chewing a toy.

The ideal home:

Rhonda would love a quieter home with people around a majority of the day. She will need someone who will give her time and patience and build trust.

Rhonda can live with children but we feel that due to her anxiety and nerves around noises that slightly older children of 6 plus would be most appropriate.

Rhonda will require a another dog in the home to give her company as she has done really well living with a dog in foster.

Other comments:

Rhonda has been a pleasure in foster, she is a nervous girl until you gain her trust and then she will do anything to please her human. She has used a crate in foster and enjoys having a space of her own.

Rhonda is toilet trained. She doesn’t travel very well and can pant and dribble so we will therefore consider a new home for her up to 2 hours from her current location in
