Ruby has been described as an absolute sweetheart by her foster mum and she steals the hearts of all who meet her. She loves cuddles, fuss and tummy rubs and enjoys her walks.
She can be reactive to dogs out walking and she might bark if they get too close, but she is happy to walk off the lead and won’t go far and has good recall
This laid-back girl decides if she is going to follow simple commands such as sit as she has a little stubborn side to her.
She doesn’t really play with toys, preferring to suckle on her teddy.

Things to be Aware of:
Ruby came to us with an eye condition that means she doesn’t produce tears naturally in her right eye.
Because of this, she has eye drops 2 times a day. SHE MUST HAVE THESE FOREVER and we can advise you on the product is Protopic which is easily available on prescription. Ruby tolerates having the drops without any problems.
The Ideal Family:
Ruby has been lovely and gentle around the young children in her foster home, so we are happy for her to be rehomed to a family without an age restriction, obviously, young children should never be left alone with any dog
She doesn’t need lots of long walks as she is a bit of a plodder, and she loves being around people so she needs to have company during the day.
Ruby settled very well in her foster home. She has been fabulous with the children and everyone loves her. It is imperative that her new family understand that she must have her eye drops 4 times a day every day
Ruby is spayed and up to date with her vaccinations. She travels well so we will consider a new home for her up to 4 hours from her current location and where she will not be left for any longer than 4 hours during the day.
If you have any questions, please ask Kelly Dixon foster mum to Ruby
Ruby’s adoption fee is £300 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.
