Sharon & Belle – Now Adopted!

Sharon & Belle are home!!

We are over the moon to be able to announce that our mother and daughter duo are now home.

These delightful girls were collected yesterday by their very excited new mumma Lisa.

Sharon and Belle have settled very well into their new home and have had a good first night.

They have wiggled their butts on a lovely walk and have even been helping out in the garden.

Don’t you just love a happy ending.

We would like to say a big thank you to Rebecca and her family for being absolutely fabulous in preparing the girls for their forever home. You have all done a fantastic job and we will be forever grateful.

So will you all please join me in congratulating Lisa and her son Jamie on their beautiful new girls. We wish you many years of happiness and mischief together.

To Sharon and Belle, enjoy your happy ever after and make sure to train your slaves well.

We look forward to seeing all your updates!

A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Sharon is a gentle soul; she starts of timid buy slowly comes out her shell. She is independent but will seek you out for affection.

Belle is the opposite of her mum, she is a typical boisterous young puppy, she loves a bit of rough play, but needs to learn her boundaries.

The girls are a wonderful pair and complement each other beautifully.

Behaviour:

Sharon is timid and can be nervous of loud noises and new environments. And will hide a way from excitable children. Affection is on her terms as but as her confidence grows, she is more accepting.

Sharon does enjoy a bit of rough play on occasion and will mouth gently.

Belle is a typical very young female she can be forward and pushy when rough playing. She will also take all the toys off mum who is happy to let her have them.

Needs:

This lovely pair need a calm home environment, with a family who will keep them involved in daily activities.

A garden is a must especially for Belle to release some of her puppy energy.

Any young children in the home must be supervised, Sharon may need a quiet place to go to during excitable moments and Belle can be excitable and knock small children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Walk/exercise:

The girls weren’t walked often before coming into GBSR care, they can be frightened by lorries or loud cars.

But the girls now love their walks, they can pull to start off with but settle down as they go, and they do like to weave about. They can pull towards other dogs but with continued training on leash walking this will improve greatly.

Toilet trained:

The girls are very good during the day but may wet at night on occasion. We are unsure which is having the accident.

Can be left:

The girls are very good and keep each other company whilst their humans can’t. They can be left for up to 4 hours.

Travel:

The girls travel well, because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours away from their current location. We advise using seatbelt restraints or car crate to transport any dogs.

Things to be aware of:

Sharon was unable to be spayed due to her recent season and Belle is unable to be spayed due to her age so the girls will be going home on a “to be spayed” contract. This must be done with a vet of the charity’s choosing with cost covered by the charity. Sharon will be due as of January 2014 and Belle October 2024.

Sharon has dry eye and will need daily eyedrops optimune and a lubricant which is available on prescription.

Belle has eyedrops as her eye continues to heal from her cherry eye repocketing.

Additional information:

This perfect mother daughter pair suit each other beautifully. If you are looking to complete your family, then look no further than these stunning girls. Sharon a laid back and calm lady with her happy go lucky bouncy daughter to keep you entertained and loved for many years to come.

A little of our girls story below,

Please welcome the beautiful Mrs Sharon and her baby girl Belle

4-year-old Sharon and daughter 8-month-old Belle come to us as their owner is struggling with mental health issues.

Sharon came to her owner pregnant after her previous owner died and its obvious, she had been used as a breeding female.

Sadly, Belle was her only surviving pup from her last litter. But what a beautiful Belle she is. Sharon your breeding days are over.

Sharon (Brown) & Belle (Blue tri) are now in foster in the Northeast with Rebecca and her family.

They have had a very settled first night and a lazy day exploring their new environment.

Sharon is showing to be very timid and sweet natured, where Belle is a typical bully puppy excitable and into everything, she has taken a real liking to Rebecca’s charming son.

Both Sharon and Belle look to have cherry eye and will be booked in to see our vet very soon.

A welcome to Rebecca and family to your first foster, thank you so much for coming to the rescue when these beautiful girls needed you most.

Welcome to the start of your GBSR journey and the start of your Happily Ever After, we can’t wait to share it with you!!
