Winston – Now Adopted
Winston is described by his foster family as a big softy who is just a fantastic all rounder.
He will be an amazing addition to any family and his squishy face will bring so much joy!
Winston, or Winnie as he is fondly known, wears a harness when going on walks. He walks well both on and off the lead and has excellent recall.
Winston shows no reaction to dogs outside or inside the home and would need to be homed with another dog as he enjoys the company.
Winston knows all his basic commands and will sit, lay down, stays and leave if asked to.
Typically he is very food orientated and will do most things for a treat!
Winston likes to play and his favourite is a good game of tug or to play with a football! He is not toy possessive and toys can be easily removed from him. Winston has no issues with his daily grooming routine and will happily allow you to clean him.
Winston does have quite deep wrinkles on his face so cleaning is important.
Winston loves attention on his own terms, he likes a good old scratch or to come plonk his head on your lap.

Things to be aware of:
Winston is an amazing boy who loves human company and is his foster mums shadow. He is not a fan of sleeping in the dark so his foster family leave the landing light on or night light. Winston is not a fan of rough play.
He can sometimes become humpy and needs a firm no to stop unwanted behaviour.
Winston is untested with cats in the home so we aren’t sure what his reaction would be.
Winston is not a fan of being alone and can bark to voice his opinion on this.
The ideal home:
Winston will be a wonderful addition to any lucky families home. He is mostly a big softy with an odd bout of humping! Like all bulldogs Winston will need firm rules and boundaries in the home.
Winston absolutely loves human attention so someone who is around a majority of the day would suit him best. Winston can get over excited so with this in mind we are rehoming him with dog savvy children over 6, so they will have a better understanding of how to keep him calm when he’s getting over excited and playful.
Other comments:
Winston has been a pleasure in foster. He doesn’t use a crate but prefers to sleep on pillows with a nightlight on as he isn’t a fan of the dark.
Winston is toilet trained and travels well, we will consider a new home for him up to 4 hours from his current location in Newcastle upon Tyne
