Zeb – Now Adopted!

Type of Home Required:
Zeb can live with older children, dogs and cats (although he will chase a cat if it runs). Because he is young & boisterous we feel children over 12 will be most suited.
Personality:
Zeb is a livewire who loves life. He likes to play with other dogs and he loves his toys, although they don’t last very long! He takes commands such as sit, wait and paw but ongoing training is required for recall and leave.
He can be stubborn, as Bulldogs can be, but he is also very loving and enjoys cuddles and brushing.
Things to be Aware of:
As a strong young dog with limited training, Zeb pulls on his lead when out walking and recall is non-existent if he sees another dog.
Hand movements towards his neck make him anxious and he hates loud noises such as fireworks which make him bark & pace the floor.
The Ideal Family:
Because Zeb is a fit and active dog, he will be best suited to an active home where the owners have time to take him on long walks. He needs a strong pack leader, otherwise he will assume the role..! so a ‘dog experienced’ home would be most suited.
Other comments:
Zeb will make a fabulous pet for either a family or just with adults. He needs firm boundaries so everyone in the family will need to understand this and keep up the training.
Zeb can be left for up to 4 hours and can travel up to 4 hours to his forever home.
Zeb had no training at all when we rescued him from being PTS at the vets . He can be mouthy which means he will grab your hand for attention, he isn’t biting he’s playing, but we have worked on this massively in his foster home and advice will be given to prevent this behaviour .
He really is a lovable boy that wants loving attention that he’s obviously never had .
