Heidi – in foster – Scotland
With absolutely broken hearts we have to announce Heidi back with our GBSR family.
I’ve written this out a few different times now and nothing I seem to write expresses the deep saddness we all feel at this time.
Sadly, Heidi’s mummy Ally has received a devastating diagnosis, that won’t allow her the time to give Heidi her forever home. This world can be a truly terrible place and some horrendous things happen to the very best of people.
If providing Heidi a happy and loved home is all we can do to bring Ally and her family some peace of mind, then that is what we will do.
Ally our thoughts and prayers are with you at this terrible time, thank you so much for giving Heidi the most incredible home. We promise to find her the very best home and ensure she has a mummy just as special as you are.
Heidi is in foster with Kirsty and her family up in Scotland, they are already to take the very best care of her.
Thank you, Davie, for collecting Heidi from her family and taking her to Kirsty for us. I know both we and Ally’s family are truly grateful.
Heidi, don’t you worry the love your mummy has for you will last forever. And we will ensure to find you a home that will love you just as much.

A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Heidi is an incredible character, with quirks that you can’t help but adore.
She is funny and cheeky in typical bulldog fashion likes to make sure she is centre of attention. She’s full of sass and cheek.
Heidi has a whole lot of love to give and her favourite hobby is to watch tv.
Behaviour:
Heidi is a typical young girl, excitable and playful, she is easily overstimulated especially in noisy places.
Heidi has the sweetest nature but is still young and has a few doggy manners that need improving, mostly around food.
In the home Heidi is confident and sassy, but outside she is cautious and nervous.
Heidi is playful, excitable and bouncy, but she holds no malice at all.
She is loving towards her humans and will seek you out for attention and affection.
Heidi does enjoy a game of tug and the odd occasion a little rough play.
Needs:
Heidi needs a calm home environment, with a family that will keep her involved in their daily activities.
A family that can understand her and are able to put in the time to train her and work through her cautious and anxiety behaviours outside the home.
She needs someone to call her person, that she can shower with love and affection.
She will benefit from a calm dog in the home to keep her company whilst her family are away and who can tolerate a pushy young female.
Any dogs in the home must be neutered, as Heidi is too young to be spayed.
Walk/exercise:
Heidi needs continued training with walks, she is easily overstimulated around noise, loud roads, and playparks. She can lunge at cars, motorbikes etc when she is spooked.
Heidi is happy to walk alone or with company and does enjoy meeting other dogs when out.
Toilet trained:
Yes, Heidi is a very good girl.
Can be left:
Heidi will happily settle in a crate she can be left for up to four hours.
We would advise her new family to have a crate for her, it will help her feel safe and settle into her new home.
Travel:
Heidi travels very well, either in the boot or on the back seat.
We would recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate in the boot, when traveling.
Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours away from her current location.
Things to be aware of:
Heidi is too young to be spayed, and as such she will be going home on a “to be spayed” contract which will be undertaken when she is 18months old at a vet of our choice with costs covered by the charity.
Any children in the home must be supervised, as Heidi is a big girl and has the potential to jump and knock smaller children over.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information:
Heidi is a one-of-a-kind girly, if you are looking for a partner in crime to keep you entertained, someone to dote on you, to watch tv and cuddle with then our Heidi is your girl. Yes, she needs some confidence and training but she’s young and has so much to give her forever family.

Please welcome Heidi back into the arms of Geordie Bullies Springboard Rescue.
Heidi was rehomed a few months ago but she started to lunge at cars / bikes when out and this escalated to a point where her owner wasn’t able to manage her as well as her children when out. So, with great sadness she asked for Heidi to come back to us as she felt she couldn’t fulfil her needs.
Heidi is a young girl that needs an owner who will understand they are pack leader and who will have the time to commit to Heidi’s needs and training because this little girl is a smasher.
Heidi is in foster with Samantha Broderick in Scotland and once she has had her vet check and assessment, this beauty will be ready for adoption, so please consider applying for her when the time comes.
Welcome back Heidi
Please welcome the beautiful Miss Harley to our GBSR family
Harley is an 11-month-old entire female.
She comes to us after her owner has sadly fallen extremely poorly and is now spending a lot of time in and out of hospital meaning Harley wasn’t getting the care and attention she needed.
Her owner had another family member help, but unfortunately it didn’t work out.
Miss Harley is in foster with the lovely Carole in the North East and is already up to all sorts of mischief, and keeping FM on her toes.
Thank you, Carole, for collecting Harley so quickly and getting her settled.
