Maggie-Mae – In Foster – North East

Please join us in welcoming #MaggieMae to the GBSR family.

Maggie-Mae has sadly been surrendered by her owner, who recently lost her partner and is no longer able to manage Maggie-Mae’s needs. We are grateful that we were able to step in and offer support during such a difficult time, and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to her owner for her loss.

Maggie-Mae has been with her family since she was a puppy and is described as a loving and affectionate girl. One thing we have already discovered about her is her absolute obsession with footballs. It didn’t take long for her foster family to notice, and she has already brought plenty of smiles with her enthusiasm for her favourite toy.

Maggie-Mae is a 6-year-old neutered girl who has previously lived with other dogs. However, those relationships were not always straightforward, so she has moved into a dog-free foster home with Alison and Colin, where she can settle in at her own pace and enjoy plenty of one-to-one attention.

Following her veterinary health check, we are pleased to confirm that Maggie-Mae’s hair loss has been diagnosed as seasonal alopecia. We are also continuing to investigate concerns regarding her left leg, where there is a possible luxating patella, to ensure she receives any treatment or support she may require.

Maggie-Mae is already settling into foster care, and we are looking forward to getting to know her better over the coming weeks. We can’t wait to watch her confidence grow and see more of her personality shine through as she begins this new chapter.

Please note that Maggie-Mae is not currently available for adoption. We will not be accepting applications or enquiries for her at this stage. As always, we will keep everyone updated when she is ready to begin her search for a forever home.
