A BIT ABOUT ME
Personality:
Bella is the epitome of a companion dog; she loves to be involved in all that is family life.
Bella’s gentle and affectionate nature will have her seeking her person out for all the attention and affection they will give.
Bella is a very loving girl whose playful nature is slowly coming through. With continued support in play, she will thrive and find the joy in the simple things.
Behaviour:
Bella doesn’t really respond to rough play; she prefers love and affection.
Bella is learning to play with toys, she shows no possessiveness towards them.
Bella knows her basic commands, she knows sit, paw, and bed. She is eager to please.
Needs:
Bella can live with a calm and laid-back companion who will allow her to have her own space. No entire. She would equally be happy as an only dog in the home.
Bella would benefit from someone at home for the majority of the time or a family who can take her with them. Bella relies on her humans and thrives when she can be close.
A garden is a must with space to play and exercise.
Walk/exercise:
Bella walks really well and doesn’t pull, she walks next to you nicely.
Bella will stop and stare when she sees other dogs on a walk, a quick “ come on Bella” and she carries on happily.
Bella gets excited when she sees her harness and has it put on with no problems
Toilet trained:
Yes, Bella is a good girl but will need frequent reminding to go out to toilet.
Travel:
Bella travels well in the car, because of this we would recommend homes up to 4 hours away.
We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.
Things to be aware of:
Bella can be anxious when left alone so any new family will need to have patience and dedication while she settles.
Sometimes Bella is excited to play but doesn’t realise her size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as she has the potential to jump and knock children over.
Bella will be going home on a spay contract, to be completed at a vet agreed with the charity, costs to be covered by the charity for a basic spay.
Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.
Additional information from Bella’s foster:
Bella is the kindness sweetest little girl that wants all your love and will make the perfect companion to the right person
Bella’s adoption donation fee is £500 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.
