Layla – Now Adopted

Layla is described by her foster mum as the most loving gorgeous girl but she is also very high energy and needs plenty of activity and stimulation.

Layla walks well on a lead and harness and rarely pulls. She is happy to walk alone or with a companion and listens to commands when given them. Layla has excellent recall and will happily come back to you when you call her name.

Layla can carry out some simple commands, such as sit and paw but she does still need further training. She is extremely intelligent and picks things up quickly so her forever family can have fun with further training.

Layla loves playing and is a very high energy dog. She loves balls and enjoys a good game of chase in the garden!! Layla doesn’t really rough play and just loves to run!

Layla is not that keen on her cleaning regime but will allow you to wipe where you need to and will happily be bathed.

Things to be aware of:

Layla is a very active girl and without the correct routine would quickly resemble a wound up coil! She will benefit from mental stimulation as well as physical activity.

Layla has a very tight tail pocket and requires this cleaning on a daily basis. If she has been out to the toilet she will need her bottom wiping afterwards so she doesn’t encounter any further issues.

Layla came from a home where she was left for long periods and due to this we would prefer her to be homed with people who are home a lot of the day.

The ideal home:

Layla is still a very young dog and she still has a lot of puppy behaviours. She isn’t a “Normal” lazy bully and will require an active family who can commit to ongoing training. Layla isn’t shy in slightest and literally jumps around with excitement, much like Tigger!!!!

Layla  can get over excited so with this in mind we are rehoming her with dog savvy children over 3,  so they are able to manage her playfulness.

Layla shows no reaction to dogs outside or inside the home and would need to be homed with another dog as she enjoys the company.

Other comments:

Layla has been a pleasure in foster, she does resemble an energiser bunny but with the right family she will flourish.. Layla  has used a crate in foster and settles well overnight.

Layla is mostly toilet trained but this can be avoided by regular visits out into the garden.. Layla  travels well, we will consider a new home for her up to 4 hours from her current location in St Helens in the North West.

If you have any questions, please ask Julia Scott  foster mum to Layla.

Layla’s adoption fee is £450  and will need to be paid in full prior to going home which will also be subject to a home check.
