Maggie – Now Adopted

Maggie is a loving and lovable girl who really enjoys lots of attention, strokes and tummy rubs. She is very playful and will throw her squeaky toys and balls around before having a suckle on her blanket.

Her grasp of commands is generally very good as is her recall and she is very playful on her walks when out with other dogs. She loves water and will splash around happily and as an adorable attention seeker, she will bar people from walking past until they have petted her.

Maggie will happily let her Fosters’ clean her tail pocket daily with medicated wipes which are also used for her feet.

When it comes to mornings, this lovely girl prefers her bed and will get up in her own time and will get the grumps if you try and move her too soon.

Dogs name:  Maggie

Age:  3 Years 3 months

Can live with children:  Aged 8 years and over

Can live with dogs:  No

Can live with cats:  Yes

Current location:  Eastleigh in Hampshire

Things to be aware of:

Maggie can be possessive over balls, especially in her crate and this is the reason we prefer any children in the home are of an age that they can give her space and understand not to take her ball if she has one.

And she is a sneaky chewer so small toys and remote controls need to be kept out of reach.

The ideal home:

This girl just adores people and so we are looking for a home where there will be someone around for a good part of the day that will interact with her.

She will need access to a good-sized garden so she can play with her football and no steep steps as she struggles on stairs.

If there are children in the home they must be dog savvy and understand how to behave around a dog who can be possessive over balls.

Other comments:

Maggie loves to be pampered and her foster family has described her as having a great nature.

She came to us overweight and her reducing diet will need to be continued in her new home until she reaches her ideal weight.

Maggie is toilet trained and she travels well in the car, so we are looking for her new home up to 4 hours from her current location.

Maggie’s adoption fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check.
