A BIT ABOUT ME

Personality:

Moose is a wonderfully affectionate puppy who loves people deeply and seeks comfort and closeness with his family.

He’s also a lively, excitable youngster who enjoys being involved in everything the family does. Moose has a stubborn side  if he doesn’t want to move, he’ll turn his back and stay put  but it’s all part of his endearing, cheeky nature.

He loves meeting new people and hopes everyone will stop to fuss him. Sudden noises and unfamiliar objects can make him nervous, but with reassurance and a chance to investigate, he quickly regains his confidence. He doesn’t like going out in the dark alone and prefers someone to accompany him for his bedtime toilet trip, which his foster family finds incredibly sweet.

He love’s his crate and now uses it as his safe, cosy space for naps. He also enjoys “talking” to his family with his funny yodels, especially when he’s excited.

Moose is a loving, cuddly, characterful pup who will make a wonderful companion for a family ready to embrace his affection, his quirks, and his joyful personality.

Behaviour:

Moose is a sweet, clever puppy who has made lovely progress with his training. He knows sit and settle, and he’s doing very well with stay, even when a treat is placed on the floor in front of him. He understands heel and wait on walks and, although he can be excitable at times, he responds well to calm guidance.

He plays beautifully with toys, happily dropping them when asked and showing no possessive or guarding behaviours. Moose is very affectionate and loves being stroked, cuddled, and snuggled close. He’s a gentle little soul who expresses his love through enthusiastic kisses.

He isn’t keen on having his paws touched, but he’s learning with patience and positive experiences.

Moose loves children and interacts with them with excitement and affection. He can jump up or become a little overpowering when he’s very excited, and during energetic play he may nip, so he’ll benefit from continued calm training and supervision around younger children.

Moose is a loving, cuddly, eager‑to‑learn pup who will thrive with adopters who can continue his gentle training and enjoy his affectionate, joyful nature.

Needs:

Moose is looking for an active, loving family who can continue guiding him as he grows into a well‑balanced bulldog. He thrives with people who enjoy training, structure, and plenty of play, and he’ll blossom with adopters who understand the breed and their unique quirks.

He will benefit greatly from having someone home throughout the day.

He has done wonderfully with crate training and will need this continued in his new home to give him the same sense of routine and security he has now. Moose has thrived in a family environment and would be happiest with children aged 8+ who understand boundaries and can enjoy his playful, affectionate nature safely.

A secure garden is essential for his adventures and puppy energy. Moose would also benefit greatly from living with a confident but gentle resident dog, as he takes reassurance from calm canine company and it would help build his confidence as he matures.

Moose is a bright, loving pup with so much potential he just needs the right family to help him continue becoming the wonderful bulldog he’s growing up to be.

Walk/exercise:

Moose enjoys calm, steady walks and is happiest in quiet, natural spaces like parks and woodlands. He can occasionally stop and refuse to walk, so he’ll benefit from adopters who can offer gentle encouragement and help him feel confident when he’s unsure.

He walks well on the lead, waits patiently at roads, and has shown no reactive behaviour. Moose loves people and will often want to greet other walkers for fuss, but he’s generally uninterested in other dogs and prefers staying close to his family.

Moose’s exercise needs are simple and manageable: relaxed walks, patient encouragement, and plenty of time to sniff and explore at his own pace.

Toilet trained:

Yes, Moose is a good boy, he may have the odd accident initially but as soon as he knows what is expected of him, he will thrive.

Travel:

Travel isn’t Mooses favourite thing, he can be very nervous and need someone sat with him for reassurance. With the right support his confidence will grow. Because of this we will accept applications of up to 4 hours from his location. However, the family must be prepared to take plenty rest breaks.

We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs.

**TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE AIR-CONDITIONED CARS PREFERRED**

Things to be aware of:

Moose will be recalled at the age of 18months to be neutered June 2027. This will be carried out at a vet decided by the charity. Costs covered by the charity.

Sometimes Moose is excited to play but doesn’t realise his size, any young children in the home must be supervised, as they have the potential to jump and knock children over.

Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted.

Additional information from Moose’s foster family:

Moose likes to be around people so I think it would benefit him to be in a home that has a stay at home or work from home adult. I do not think he would cope well-being left alone for the majority of the day. He will need a family who want to continue with his training as this would be very beneficial and help calm some of his more excitable moments.

He needs stimulation and lots of play time otherwise he will find his own things to get up to – Mischief Moose.

Moose’s adoption donation fee is £550 and will need to be paid in full prior to him going home which will also be subject to a home check.

Moose’s story.

Please welcome the adorable Moose to our ever-growing GBSR family!

Moose joined us after being sadly surrendered due to a relationship breakdown. We kindly ask for no judgement, as situations like this can happen, and all that matters is that Moose is now safe, loved, and being well cared for.

At just 6 months old, Moose is full of life, happiness, and puppy mischief! He’s settled into foster care with Ashley and Claire in the Midlands, where he’ll receive all the love, guidance, and support he needs while we get to know him.

Before anything else, Moose will be attending a full veterinary health check to make sure he’s happy, healthy, and getting the very best start on his journey with us.

So far, he’s proving to be a typical puppy—fun, playful, and an absolute gem! We can’t wait to watch little Moose blossom and grow in confidence over the coming weeks.

Please note: Moose is not available for adoption at this time. We will not be accepting expressions of interest, pre-applications, or early applications. When Moose is ready to start looking for his forever home, we will make a dedicated post clearly stating “Applications Open.” Any applications received before then will be considered null and void.

Welcome to the team, Moose! We can’t wait to share your journey with everyone.

Please join us in giving Moose a very warm welcome to the Geordie Bullies family.

Please note that Moose has only just arrived in foster and is not available for adoption. Applications are not open at this time, so please don’t attempt to apply for him just yet. We’ll share his adoption poster once he’s reached the end of his assessment period.
