Wincey – Now Adopted!
Wincey is a typical young Bulldog who is very playful and interested in everything and everyone. She is happy to be bathed and groomed and she enjoys her walks. She loves the children in her foster home and will lay down next to the 1 year old baby quite happily. Wincey also loves a good cuddle and enjoys the attention from her foster family
She enjoys her walks and can be quite vocal to other dogs, but not aggressive. She loves her food and it excites her so much she is fed half her kibble in a snuffle matt just so it slows her down and makes her work to find her food.
As a puppy she will try and push boundaries so continued training will be required.

Things to be Aware of:
Wincey was born with a congenital heart complaint that could be life limiting, but then she could live a long life, the case studies show long and short lived.
She has seen a heart specialist and it’s been confirmed her condition is in-operable but can be managed with medication. She is currently on half a tablet twice a day and the charity will continue to provide medical support for her regarding this condition for the rest of her life, we will also cover her heart scans yearly.
She is also un-spayed so the charity will cover the cost of this once she has reached maturity but as yet, its not clear whether she can be put under general anaesthesia.
Wincey’s new owners will have to monitor her, and appreciate that she will not be able to have long walks or extended playtime; having said that, she is a bouncy and energetic young girl so she will just need pulling back a bit when she gets too hyperactive with time out in her crate.
The Ideal Family:
Wincey loves being around people so we will only consider a new home where there is someone around during the day to keep an eye on her, although she can be left in her crate for up to 4 hours.
We will consider a family with another friendly dog but has Wincey is not spayed we would need to see evidence that the dog is neutered (if male) She cannot be rehomed with an entire male dog.
Other comments:
Wincey is a special girl that needs a special home. Her new owners must understand her limitations, as being a puppy, she will keep playing but she needs ‘downtime’ as too much excitement can make her heart race. This said, her specialist vet said she manages amazingly.
Wincey is house trained but being a puppy there maybe the odd accident as she’s still young
