Winnie – Now adopted

Winnie is described by her foster family as a sweet, gentle girl who loves attention from her humans. She is not a great fan of noise and bedlam and far prefers the peaceful, slower pace of life with someone who is home a lot.

Winnie is not the most energetic of bulldogs but she does enjoy a potter. She wears a harness and lead for walks and is very good when it comes to putting it on and will stand still for you.

Winnie walks great on and off the lead and her recall is good, apart from when her deaf ear kicks in!!!

Winnie will play with toys when the mood takes her but she isn’t that bothered a lot of the time. She is not a fan of rough play as she is a gentle soul who would rather have snuggles with her human.

Winnie follows all basic commands and if you are preparing her dinner she will beat you to the punch and be sat ready in advance!!

Winnie is happy to have a bath and to have her regular cleaning regime. She does need her eyes cleaning regularly.

Dogs name: Winnie Age: 3

Can live with children: Yes (Dog savvy)

Can live with dogs: No

Can live with cats: Untested.

Current location: Peterborough

Things to be aware of:

Winnie came into foster as she didn’t get on with the other dogs in the home, she therefore requires a dog free home for her forever home.

Winnie can be very nervous of noises in the home, such as the vacuum cleaner or bin bags. She can also be nervous of tall people and she can bark if nervous. Awareness will need to be shown and continued training given.

Winnie has had Entropian surgery and has dry eye. She will require drops in her eyes going forward and these can be bought at a minimal cost.

The ideal home:

Winnie is a real little sweetheart, she is very tactile and adores snuggles with her humans. Her absolute soft spot is having her ears tickled!

Winnie has been around children with no issue but is very nervous of noise and movement. With this in mind we feel that older, dog savvy children would be most suitable so they will understand to respect her space and give her peace when needed.

As previously mentioned Winnie will require a dog free home as she has previously had issues.

Other comments:

Winnie has been a little pleasure in foster.

She is crate trained and a very relaxed peaceful girl. Winnie is toilet trained and travels well, we will consider a new home for her up to 4 hours from her current location in Peterborough.

If you have any questions, please ask Sahra Joyce foster mum to Winnie. Winnie’s adoption fee is £450 and will need to be paid in full prior to going home which will also be subject to a home check.
